Here is this week's The Math Contest question of the week.


I hate these problems.  After a few minutes I pulled out the big guns and solved 5 equations in 5 unknowns.  It worked.  Took me almost 10 minutes to solve the matrix.  Looks like lots of people having problems with this one.



No one cares about problem of the week but I did well this month and for the year almost.  Farking Costello with his own problems.

Today's song of the day is a repeat from Aug 23 2022.  The boys were playing Skateboard 3 at Uncle Steve's and two great songs were used in the song list so I will use them today and maybe tomorrow.  Here is what I said on Aug 23 2022: Today's song is from 1979.  It was this band's first album.  The song is the first song on this album.  The band was from England.  The album was produced (some say over produced) by Martin Hannett.  The album is called Unknown Pleasures.  The lead singer hung himself before the band left to tour the US and A.  The band reformed as New Order.  Okay that is enough clues.  The band is Joy Division and the song is Disorder.  The video is introduced by Henry Rollins former lead singer of Black Flag.  To bad putin doesn't do an Ian Curtis (RIP) and hang himself.
