Here is today's The Math Contest question of the day.

Easy.  Don't know why I wrote this out on paper rather than doing it in my head.  When I wrote the first "a" down I substituted -1 instead of 1.  Duh.  Penalty box for 15 minutes.  Then as I am serving it Neil comes by.  By the time I put the correct answer in I am way back.  Lol.
