Here is my solution to yesterday's The Math Contest question of the day.

A friend MG doing the problem found the area of triangle EBF and asked if you could solve for "b" from that.  Answer yes but it is a bit of work.  So I will do it from there.  Since triangle ABC is equilateral it is easy to show that triangles AED and DCF are also equilateral and that triangles DEF and BEF are congruent.

Today's song comes from 96 from this English E.D.M. band.  It was the first single off their third album, The Fat Of The Land.  Some really good sampling on this song.  The "Hey" is from The Art of Noise from 84 off of Close (to the Edit)  (I loved this song in my senior year of HS) and the wah-wah guitar is sampled from The Breeders 93 song S.O.S.  The video is in black and white and takes place in an abandoned London Underground tunnel. Two other great singles off this album of which the second one was very controversial for it's mysogyny .  Those two singles were Breath and Smack My Bitch Up.  That should be a dead give away that the band is The Prodigy and the song is Firestarter.  I hope someone starts a fire to put-in.  Have a great weekend.
