Today's song is from 82 from this La La Cali band's second album, Miami.  Blondie or Debbie Harry did some backing vocals on this album under the name D.H. Laurence Jr.  The song is about a man coming home after being gone for a long time.  There is much longing and nostalgia in the words that Jeffrey Lee Pierce sings.  The band is The Gun Club and the song is Carry Home.  It would be nice if they carried put-in and his home to the meat grinder.  Below is the studio version and a live version.
