Here is today's The Math Contest question of the day.

I believe this is a number theory question that involves modulo 11 and congruences.  I never took that course so I did it a slower way and worked as quick as possible and just missed top 10.  I think those 2 points might cost me for the month as I am now in second by 7 points.  Grrr!

Today's song of the day is from 87 from this English synth pop band's eponymous debut album.  It was the first single from the album.  The song was used during the end credits of Napoleon Dynamite.  The band was When In Rome and the song is The Promise.  A promise all Ukrainians will keep is to make sure put-in visits the meat grinder personally and up close.
