Here is today's The Math Contest question of the day.

Easy question.  I calculated the number that started the 50th group correct.  Then you have to calculate the sum of that number and the next 49 numbers.  I used one less than the number I had just calculated in the formula.  Dang.  Penalty box.  Would of been top 10.

Here is my solution to yesterday's The Math Contest question of the day.

Today I give you a couple of pics of my mother and I.  She passed away 51 years ago today on June 13 1973.  I was only 7.  Miss you so much.  Ugly story.  I might post some news clippings some day.  If you are close to 60 y.o. and grew up in west Windsor you probably heard the story.   The pics are from Poplar Street.  The black and white one is probably from 68-69 and the colour one is from my 6th or 7th birthday, so July 71-72.  Miss you lots.  I will always be your 7 year old loving son.   Here is a memoriam I used to put in the paper for her.  Here is my dad's.

 Today's song of the day is from a single from 81 from the reformation of my favourite band after the lead singer's passing.  His name was Ian Curtis.  Today's band is from the UK and the song eventually made an album in 87 called Substance.  The former band was Joy Division.  The new band is Joy Division and the song is Everything's Gone Green.  When they bury put-in in the meat grinder I am sure the grass will not be green but a shyt colour.
