Today's song of the day is from 78 from this Athens Georgia band's eponymous debut album.  No it is not REM which is from Athens.  Today's song was released as a single with the B side being 52 Girls.  Big hint, 52.  The band is The B-52s and today's song is Rock Lobster.  I remember running around the gym at our school dances in grade 9 in 79 like a space cadet and dropping to the floor during this song.  Good times.  If you have never heard 52 Girls you should.  Hopefully someone ties a big rock around put-in's neck before putting him in the meatgrinder.
