Here is today's The Math Contest question of the day.

Originally it was posted as z/a.  WTF was "a" I texted JD.  I said it is either z/x or z/y.  Whilst complaining I should of been solving for a question that we had to guess at what they meant.  Got it before they corrected the question but it cost me a point to Rollins for the month.  Arrrgh.

Today's song of the day is from 2007 from this Chicago band's compilation album, Remains.  It is a cover of a 1981 song written by John Crawford.  John's band was Berlin.  Big hint there.  Today's band is Alkaline Trio and the song is The Metro.  Hopefully  somebody finds put-in's remains in the meatgrinder.

Rather than doing math I just drew a picture and missed a region.  Penalty box.  Figured since I had 15 minutes I figured out 2 different ways mathematically to do the problem.  Arrrggghh.  I will post both solutions tomorrow as usual.

Today's song comes from a new wave band from 84 out of La La land US and A.  It is off their third album Love Life which apparently put-in does not.  The song was the main single and the video was a re-enactment of Bonnie and Clyde.  The band was Berlin and the song was No More Words.  It would be nice if put-in was deceased and had no more anything.  I give you the video and a extra of them on American Bandstand with Dick Clarke R.I.P.

Today's song comes from 82 on the debut album from this LA new wave band.  The album was called Spring Session M. The song is about where the band was from.  Dale Bozzio was the lead singer and she had a quirky voice and was heavy on the makeup which MTV just loved.  She was on Zappa's Joe's Garage album. Her husband was in the band.  The band was Missing Persons and the song was Walking In LA.  I wish put-in would try and walk in LA and get hit by a car.  The video is from the US Festival from Memorial Day weekend 83.  They played the third day with 9 other bands including U2, Berlin and David Bowie to name a few.

Today's song is from 82.  It comes from a US new wave band.  It was on their second album Pleasure Victim.  The song influenced even Donna Summer with her song I Feel Love.  The song of the day had racy lyrics for the 80s and some radio stations would not play the song.  The song was sung as a duet by Crawford and Nunn.  The band is probably best known for their song Metro.  The band is Berlin and the song is Sex ( I Am).  fuck putin.
