Today's song of the day is from 83 from an English band and was released as a single whose B side was The Beach or Thieves Like Us depending if you got the 12 inch or 7 inch version respectively.  Today's song was covered by Orgy.  I posted that version here in 2022.  Today's band was formed after Ian Curtis hung himself, RIP.  That band was Joy Division. Probably my all time favourite band.  They became New Order.   I would dance to this song by myself at Changez on Thursdays or Faces on Friday all the time back in grade 13 and  Uni.   Today's song is Blue Monday. There will be a new order in ruzzia when they put put-in in the meat grinder.

Before today's song of the day I just wanted to post a picture of my Dad and myself when I was in grade 9.  I had just won the Sandwich Midget Relays 400m.  This was 1980.  My Dad passed on 30 years ago today.  He died in my arms.  I miss you Dad. Vjechnaya Pamyat.

Here is another one but I am just a bit younger.

Today's song of the day is from a Cali Industrial band.  The song came out in came out in 98 on their Candyass lp.  The song is a cover from one of my favourite dance tunes from a UK band from 83.  It is the best selling 12 inch single of all time. The original comes from the lp Power, Corruption and Lies.  The original band is New Order.  The cover band sounds like Trent Reznor should be in the band.  The band is Orgy and the song is Blue Monday.  I believe when New Order was putting this song together Peter Hooke said "fuck putin".
