Today's song is from 78 and was released as a single by this UK band.  It was released as a single between the band's debut eponymous album and their second album Give Em Enough Rope but was not released on either album.  Well that is not exactly true as it was released on the US debut album.   The band is The Clash and the song is Clash City Rockers.  It would be great to give put-in enough rope around his neck and then take him to the meat grinder.  Below I give you the studio version with lyrics and a live version.  The crowd is just electric.

Welcome to the weekend.  Today's song of the day is from 78 from the English band's single that was released between their eponymous debut album and their second album, Give 'Em Enough Rope.  The lead singer will have passed this December 20 years ago.  RIP Joe.  I used to have a bumper sticker on my dashboard of my Omni from the student uni radio staion, CJAM, that featured a classic picture of the bassist from this band smashing his Fender on the stage of the Palladium in NY.  This picture was on their the bands third album which was a double album.  The band was the Clash and the song was Clash City Rockers.  You know who is a Clash City Wanker?  Fuck putin is a fucking wanker.  Sod you jack.
