Today's song is from 82 from this San Fran Cali band's second album, Plastic Surgery Disaster.  The song comes right after Forest Fire and before Winnebago Warrior.  Today's band is The Dead Kennedys and the song is Halloween.  The paper thing at the bottom of the album cover is called a ticket.  They used to give us paper tickets before the digital tickets, lol.  put-in should just be dead in the meat grinder.  Got to love Jello Biafra.

Today you get a few songs.  The first is from 81 off this goth singers fourth album, JuJu.  Two singles off this album, one of which is Spellbound and the today's song is not the other.  Love her music and missed a concert that I had tickets for and drove right by it in Dtown as I thought the show was a different night.  What an idiot I am.  The band is Siouxsie Sioux and The Banshees and the song is Halloween.   It will be nice to hear put-in scream like a banshee from the meat grinder.

The next song is from one of my all time favourite bands and is from 82 off this San Fran band's second album, Plastic Surgery Disaster.  It was seventh, yes seventh single released off this album.  The band is none other than the Dead Kennedys and the song is Halloween.  I give you the studio and an old live version.

One last one from me.  It comes from a Jersey band from their fifth single from 81.  They started the whole horror punk genre.  Glenn Danzig was great in this band before leaving to start Samhain.  Perfect name for today.  This song has been recorded  by a ton of punk bands including: AFI (A Fire Inside, my favourite), Sonic Youth, Mudhoney,  Alkaline Trio and Dropkick Murphys to name a few.

My wife suggested a song so here is her's.  The song came out in 82 from this English new wave band as a cover of the 65 song by The Strangeloves.    They were formed by Malcolm McLaren.  Yes the same dude that founded The Sex Pistols.  It was their only single off their album, The Last Of The Mohicans.   The band is Bow Wow Wow and the song is I Want Candy.

Today's song is from 81 from this Horror Punk band from NJ.  The band was lead by none other than Glenn Danzig.  That is a give away.  Next clue.  The band got their name from the title of Marilyn Monroe's last movie.  This song was released as a single with both A and B sides being titled something and something 2, where something is the name of the song.  AFI (great band especially during their deathlock era AKA A Fire Inside) covered this song.  Many other bands also covered this song.   Many bnad's covered other songs by this band including Metallica and Guns N' Roses.  This song is usually played in late October.  The band's Tee I am wearing above.  The band is The Misfits and the song is Halloween.  put-in is definitely a misfit.  I give you three versions below.  The first is The Misfits with lyrics.  The second is live and the third is AFI's version.  Enjoy.
