No goals in Tim's last night.  Here are today's picks.

Today's pic of the day is from May 24 this year.  My phone sent it to me today.  The boy with his new braces.

Today's song of the day is from 87 from this Manchester England band's fourth album, "Strangeways, Here We Come".  The song was banned in the UK by the BBC as the song has reference to a mass shooting that killed 12 people in England.  I will give you some help with a video of the third tribute band we saw on Wednesday night over in Fashionable Ferndale.

That should help.  You know: Morrissey, Marr, Rourke (RIP) and Joyce.  The original is from the band The Smiths and the song is Stop Me If  You Think You've Heard This One Before.  Don't stop me from putting put-in in the meat grinder if I get a chance.

Here is today's The Math Contest question of the day.

Quick but not quick enough.

Here is my solution for last Friday's The Math Contest question of the day.

No goals in Tim's yesterday.  Here are tonight's picks.

Sticking with the nostalgia from last weekend, today's pick is from my graduating yearbook.  It is from 84.

Today's song is from you guessed it 1984.  I have a nostalgic theme going after the reunion.  It is from an English band and was on their eponymous debut album.  It was the third single released by the band.  The song was also put on their later compilation album Hatful of Hollow.  The bassist Andy Rourke just passed this weekend, RIP.  The band is The Smiths and the song is What Difference Does It Make which is a repeated line in a Jack Kerouac novel. I wish put-in would rest in pieces.

From The Math Contest

I was there at the drop and bingo.  Three days in a row I made the leader board.

Here is my solution from yesterday's contest.

Today's song of the day is by a singer that was part of a UK alternative band from the early 80s from Manchester.  The band had many great songs.   The band was composed of Marr, Rourke and Joyce.  I read the lead singer's biography and it was a good read but very depressing and explained a lot of their music, especially his schooling.  The lead singer's solo career has gone well.  The song I have picked is from that time period. It came out in 89 off his debut solo album and it charted higher than any of his former band's songs.  The song is Suedehead.  The former band is ..........The Smiths.  Can you name the vegetarian gay singer?  Sure you can.  One of my favs, Morrissey.
