Today's song of the day is from 77 off the only album released by the band whilst still together.  It was the third single the band released.   You know the band without Glen Matlock on bass.  He was replaced by a guy that could not really play it and eventually died of a heroine overdose.  The album was Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols.  The song is Pretty Vacant.  The bassist was Sid Vicous.   Today's vid is the band reunited with Matlock on The Letterman Show.  put-in needs a heroine O.D. in the meatgrinder.

Today's song is from 1980 from a UK band.  It was released as a single ahead of the album The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle.  The song was a cover of a song by the Monkees which really is a cover of Paul Revere and The Raiders.  The song actually was sung back in 76 but not released until 80.  It was sung by Johnny Rotten.  Okay now you know it was The Sex Pistols.  The song was actually performed in the band's first gig in 75 at Saint Martins College.  The band played The Who's song Substitute and today's song (I'm not your) Steppin Stone.  I wish someone would bury put-in neck deep in the ground and then have a nice public stoning.  The version presented is a live version from 2016 so obviously there is no Johnny Rotten playing bass or singing as he had pushed up the daisies  30 some odd years previously.

Today's song is from 76 from these bad boys from England.  It was the B side of their debut single.  It eventually was on an album in 79, The Great Rock and Roll Swindle.  Malcolm McLaren managed these boys.  You know him from his sex shop in London or from his 83 song  Buffalo Gals.  Lol.  Great song. Today's song of the day comes from 1977 from an English punk band.  The song was band from the BBC.  The manager of the band owned a sex shop.  The bassist eventually  died in New York at the Hotel Chelsea of a heroin overdose.  It that is not enough for clues here is the last one.  1977 was the Queen's  Silver Jubilee.  The band is The Sex Pistols and the song is God Save The Queen.  The second video is them live at their San Fran gig which was their last show together as a band.  God save the Queen but may he shit on putin.
