Today's song comes from a US song writer from 69.  It has many references to Jesus but the song writer is Jewish.  He just was inspired by watching a gospel singer.  He wrote it in 15 minutes.  The song was a one hit wonder.  It went to number one.  In 1986 Doctor and the Medics brought it to number one again.  The singer is Norman Greenbaum and the song is Spirit In The Sky.  Wish put-in meets the spirit in the dirt soon.  Below are both versions.
