One goal last night in Timmies.  Here are my picks for today.

So the song of the day is from my favourite band.  The song is not an Easter song as my Easter is next week as I am Ukrainian Orthodox and our Easter this year is next week.  Anyways as a hint there is another holiday this week. The band's singer hung himself before this UK band's first tour of the US and A.  The album came out in 1980.  Loved the 80s.  They will be back in just under 60 years.    As Jello Biafra says the album was overproduced by Martin Hannett.  After Ian hung himself the band changed from a post punk goth band to a very college indy band with the inclusion of a female in Gillian Gilbert.  Bernard Sumner  took over vocals from Ian Curtis (RIP).  I did get to see New Order but wished I had seen Joy Division.  The song is Passover.  Oh Yeah fuck putin and fuck ted cruz.

I got it but it took me a bit longer  as I wrote down 1420 and not 1470.  Lol.  I actually came up with two different formulas for this and it turns out they are mathematically equivalent as they should.

Today from The Offspring I am giving you.....just joking.  Two days in a row is enough.  Hope the snow is not too bad where you are at.  We got it again last night.  So today I am going to start the weekend off with the band that Joy Division became after Ian Curtis hung himself just before their US tour.   He was a tortured soul.  My he R.I.P.  Instead of a dark band they became a post punk dance band.  The band I speak of is New Order.  Many songs to pick from but I will go with Love Vigilantes.  I almost cry listening to the words.  It comes from the LP Low Life from 1985, my first year at the U.  In the song Bernard Sumner is writing about a wife that receives a telegram about her husband that died as a soldier in the Vietnam war.  We are never told whether the telegram was in error or if the husband returned as a ghost.  Either way the wife has committed suicide.  As Ren and Stimpy use to say, Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.
