Today's song of the day is from 77 from this Chi Town band's seventh album, The Grand Illusion.  It was the second single off the album.  The first single was Come Sail Away.  For old rock farts that should be enough.  The band was Styx and the song is Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man).  I have the original on gold vinyl.  put-in is fooling himself with an illusion if thinks that angry young Ukrainians will not put him in the meat grinder.

I had the answer fairly quickly but did a couple more checks to make sure.  Probably cost me top 10 but I did not want to go to the box.

Today's song comes from right field for me but I heard it and thought I would use it anyways.  My wife might like it better than yesterday's song.  Lol.  The song came out in 77.  It has the same name as the album.  It comes from a Chicago band.  The band is named after the Greek mythical river that divides Earth from the Underworld.  Yep it is Styx.  The song and album are Grand Illusion.  put-in is having an illusion.  Thought I would give you a live version with a nice intro.

I actually own this nonpunk album and it is a cool gold vinyl colour.  The band's name comes from Greek mythology as the main river in the underworld or possibly from the Illuminati's secret phrase "fuck putin" .  That is enough.  The band is Styx and the song and album are The Grand Illusion.  I will give you both a live version from 78 and then the lp version.
