Today's song is another oldie.  It came out in 67 on the band's debut almost eponymous album as it included a German lead singer.  She was also in Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita.  

Andy Warhol had a little bit to do with this one suggesting a couple of words that got the writer to think of the song.  The album cover has a Andy Warhol painting on it.  I have a copy of this baby.   The song writer was Lou Reed.  The bassist was Jon Cale and the vocalist was Nico (Edie Sedgewick).  That should help.  The song was Femme Fatale and the band was The Velvet Underground and Nico.

Okay I am still going with banned songs because I want to.  If you don't like it tough ti++y.  This song came out in 1970 by an English band.  It is about a tranny or crossdresser.  Crazy shyt for back then.  Couple of brothers in the band.  Songs name is one word, just his/her name.  Can you guess it?  The band's brothers  names are Davies.  The bands name could have been thought of as sexual.  Not getting it?  Okay the Kinks with Lola.  Pretty harmless song but for 1970 it is out there with  Lou Reed's Take A Walk On The Wild Side. Glam Rock was just starting with T-Rex, David Bowie and The New York Dolls.  Love the Dolls.  Especially the album cover to their eponymous first album.
