Today's song of the day is from 84 from this English post punk band.  The band was a side project of Daniel Ash of Bauhaus and before Love And Rockets.  The song was a dance floor hit.  The song was even in the movie Grosse Pointe Blank.  The band is Tones On Tail and the song is Go!  I wish put-in would GO to the meat grinder.

Today's song is from 86 from this English band.  It is off their second album, Express.  It is the third song off the album.  The band was formed by ex-Bauhaus members that became ex-Tones On Tails members before becoming this band.  Love Daniel Ash.  No the song is not Ball of Confusion even though put-in is confused to be nice.  The band is Love and Rockets and the song is All In My Mind.  A mind is something put-in does not have.

For the song of the day I am picking Daniel Ash's post Bauhaus band and it is not Tones On Tail.  Can you guess it?  They song the great remake of The Temptations song Ball of Confusion.  Yep it is Love And Rockets with their most commercially "successful" song So Alive.   Ash got the name for the band from a comic book.  I am giving you two versions of the song.  The first is the record version.  The second is in my opinion an even better version.  Not as poppy.  Remember I liked his first band Bauhaus a ton as they were as Goth as you could get.  Enjoy in 1989 again if you are old enough.

 Well you made it to Friday.  F'ing all right.  Since yesterday was Tones On Tail, the Bauhaus side project, today has to be Love and Rockets.  This was Daniel Ash's band after Bauhaus broke up in 83.  Their most commercial success was So Alive in the late 80s but you know me I am going with my favorite dance song from them, Ball of Confusion.  This is a cover of an old Temptations song.  If you are Canadian and making any amazon.ca purchase please click on my links below first as I will get a small commission on anything you buy even if it is something else.
