Today's song of the day comes from 78.  It comes from a UK punk band.  The lead singer  William Broad went on to have a pretty big solo career in the early to mid eighties.  Today's song is the fourth song and first single on their eponymous first album.   William's stage name was Billy Idol.  The band was Generation X, later known as Gen X and the song was Ready Steady Go.  I saw Billy back in 84 at Pine Knob the day after our grade 13 prom.  Not a bad weekend, better than a fuck putin.
