Here is my solution from yesterday.

Today's Song of the Day came out in 82.  The English musician was born Raymond Ian Burns but went by a smart pseudonym.  The backing vocals were done by Dolly Mixture.  The video starts with an overweight gentleman working a jack hammer waking up our protagonist.   That is enough.  You aren't going to get this.  The song is Wot! by Captain Sensible.
