Well I mentioned yesterday that I would be running a 5k race with my former steeplechasers. We did not do to shabby for old farts. Well they are not that old but I am. We went 1st, 7th and 9th out of 145.
My km's were: 4:31, 4:32, 4:36, 4:37 and 4:18. The first one was too fast as some of that was sub 4:20 at the beginning. I wanted a 4:40, three 4:30s and then whatever I had left. Here are some pics at the race.

Today's song of the day is a song I used for my cross country team when I had a team meeting. It has nothing to do with cross country but in my mind it has everything to do with the mid pack runner which I am. The song came out in 96 from this 'Merican band and was off their second album Fashion Nugget. It was the second single released off that album. According to lead singer John McCrea, "It is a song about success and failure, and failure of success." The band is Cake and the song is Going The Distance. Going the distance is what Ukraine is doing to putin's invasion that was going to take 3 days. Fuck him.
