Today's song of the day is from 96 from a La La Cali ska band.  The song was the lead single for their debut eponymous album.  Pretty sure their name is from a James Bond character.  The band is Goldfinger or not and the song is Here in Your Bedroom.  put-in should have a gold finger shoved up his arse.

Here is today's The Math Contest question of the day.


Well what a week.  A clean sweep of the question of the day and Monday's question of the week I was second.  The best I have ever done is top 5 on 4 days.  Five top 5 with 4 number ones was amazing.  All questions were in my wheel house.  Hopefully I race as fast tomorrow.  Yeah right.

Today's song comes from a ska punk band out of La La land Cali for 2016.  The song is the second track off their second album Say It Loud.  I love Aimee's voice.  It reminds me of  Brody Dalle's voice from The Distillers, another La La band even though Brody is from Down Under.  Fun fact, besides Aimee the band has three brothers in the band.  The band is The Interrupters and the song is She Got Arrested.  Hopefully putin gets arrested.  Below is the lp version and a live version from Tokyo 2021.

For today's song of the day I picked a band that in 83 played at the US Festival.  They played the Friday show with: The Gang of Four, The Ramones, The Beat,  The B-52s, The Talking Heads and The Police.  Not a bad lineup.  Their band name does not start with "The" like those other bands, lol.  The band could be considered an experimental band that played rock, ska and punk influenced music.  This octet was mostly from So Cal.  They had a horn section. The frontman for the band was Danny Elfman.   The song I am picking is not their most popular but I am picking it anyways.  It came out in 83 on their Good For Your Soul LP.  The band was initially called The Mystic Knights of The Oingo Boingo.  Is that a big enough hint?  The band is Oingo Boingo and the song is Who Do You Want To Be Today.  I know I don't want to be fuck putin.

I got skunked again on Tim's.  Here are my picks for today.

Today's song of the day is from a L.A. ska band and came out in 1985. They opened for The Beastie Boys on their Licensed To Ill tour.   In the music video for the s.o.t.d. a nuclear explosion is brought to us when Death takes off his mask.   The band is Fishbone and the song is Party at Ground Zero.  With the asshole putin saying that nukes are not off the table this song is apropos. Enjoy your weekend and fuck putin.
