Today's song of the day is from a live show in San Francisco in 22.  The tour opened in Vancouver and then Seattle.  Wanted to use the Vancouver show but the sound was not that good on the vid.  You know the main band from Mr Brightside and the opening artist that joined this band from his days as the guitarist from The Smiths.  Johnny Marr opened for The Killers and did a few songs with them from The Smiths.  Here is Stop Me If You Heard This One Before and Mr Brightside.  Don't stop the killers if you hear they are putting put-in in the meatgrinder.

Today's song of the day is from 91 off this UK artist's sixth album, Don't Try This At Home.  It was co-written with Johnny Marr, formerly guitarist of The Smiths.  The song is an anti-homophobe song.   I saw this musician back in 83-84ish at St. Andrews.  I stood with him in the audience during the opening act.  I said a couple of words to him to let him know that I knew who he was and made sure I kept it on the down low as most UM and MSU money bag kids had no idea who the Cuddly Communist was.  The musician is Billy Bragg and the song is Sexuallity.  We should put put-in in the meatgrinder just not at our home but his.

Today's song of the day is from 87 off this UK band's non-album single.  The co-author and guitarist Marr was trying for a glam rock Mott The Hopple sound.  He said it turned out like Mott The Hopple performed by The Salvation Army band.  Today's song tied Heaven Knows I Am Miserable Now for their highest charting single at 10.  You have to know the band is The Smiths.  The song is named after Neil's wife.  The song is Sheila Take A Bow.  Hopefully put-in is miserable now and takes a bow in the meat grinder.
